Light Saber Day: ???

Okay so first off i'm not 100% sure how long its been since we started working on the light saber  Today is the last day before break so this is the last update for awhile. Today in class i ended up loosing a big chunk of my work because of a school wide power outage. when the power came back i started working again and experimenting with how to create the on/off switch on the saber since i didn't quite understand the instructions  so i got most of the saber finished and should be finished with ti pretty soon. quick side note: i wasn't able to update last class because my computer couldn't connect to the internet.

Well i just walked into class today and all i had to do to finish all three of the images was replace the background. Here is all three of the images:

Today in class we starting a lighting project so we know  how to finish the light saber. we downloaded three back grounds then added them into a design. It was amazingly difficult to get it correct but once i did the image just looked so amazing.

Okay, when I got to class today and turned on my computer I couldn't find the save file i had for the Light Saber I had started last class. So i ended up restarting it today and got a good majority of it modeled. I have up to the hand grip modeled. Then after i model the rest of the thing I think i change the material and start adding color and highlights.

So today in class Mr.Cornell gave us a new assignment. Create a light saber and find 20 images of the light saber for reference. So we need to create Luke Skywalkers FULL light saber, Screws and everything. I've spent most of the class looking for the images I need for refereance, since almost every lightsaber images that comesup on Google when you type in "Luke Skywalkers Light Saber" isn't his light saber. It's everyone else's light saber except for his.
